On the 8th of June 2011, the jennings group had a audio conference with the learnz people. We went into the conference room and called them, but they were a few minutes late so we got told about the conference with a lady. Then Andrew picked up and we learnt a little bit about why we were there talking to him and things like that. We were conferencing with Elm Park School as well. We had to mute the phone when we were finished talking we would unmute it. It was interesting learning about the freshwater ecology. Here are the questions and answers.

Caleb:“How was Didymo introduced to NZ and how can we get rid of it?
I learned dydmo can not be removed it got introduced by some guy with gumboots on.”
Nick: “how we can save and educate the people on the lakes? to go to the lakes and got to the national trout museum in tarranga.
the lake are lake taupo and lake Turing.”
Cole: “How do introduced fish harm our freshwater environments? The fish have to share the food that's there, because there is more fish that need food. Water gets dirty because the mud comes out the gills.”
Alice: “Who is actually taking action and trying to save our freshwater?
There are lots of support groups, taking action, and protecting the fresh water. Then there is the DOC, Hunting Game and the council. Also the townspeople are taking action, and the Iwi, are getting very involved, and trying to save our fresh water.”
Bella: “Who is responsible for the waste that goes into streams and rivers?
Everybody is responsible. It is to do with everything. The Farms, the pipes, all of us are involved for the waste that goes into rivers and streams.”
